Steve Randall is the founder of Communication Generation Ltd.
After a few years on hospital radio and doing discos as a teenager, Steve got his break into the media business aged just 17 when he joined Metro Radio in Newcastle. Shortly after he started writing a regular column for the Herald & Post series of newspapers.
In 1993 he took over the prestigious Breakfast Show on Metro, making it the most-listened-to morning show in the region. He later repeated his early morning success at TFM Radio before moving back to the south of England with stints at Capital Radio Group’s Fox FM, Power FM and Ocean FM.
Steve joined small local radio station Andover Sound when it launched in 2008 and within a few months took over as Programme Controller and Breakfast Show presenter. The station was acquired by Celador Radio in 2012 and Steve left the station two years later and founded Communication Generation.
Steve writes an estimated 20,000 words a week for clients’ newsletters and websites plus his own. He also speaks thousands more professionally; on the radio, podcasts, as a speaker, and as a voice-over.
Steve is the principal content creator at Communication Generation and is also available for media consultancy and media training.
